Rogues have an advantage to earning gold through pickpocketing and a 5,0000g quest every week. ![]() ~~Goblins earn 1 million gold discount on mounts such as the Mighty Caravan Brutosaur, with the racial trait “ Best Deals Anywhere”. ![]() Mining goes with jewel crafting for obvious reasons.įor race, you should go with Goblin…hands down. Rogue - Jewel Crafting + Miningįor lore/RP reasons, rogues can be thieves, and thieves would steal jewels, right? Herbalism goes with inscription for obvious reasons. Monk - Inscription + Herbalismįor lore/RP reasons, monks IRL through history have been writers of texts, especially before the printing press was invented. Mining goes with engineering for obvious reasons. Normally, I would have a hunter be exactly that - so skinning and leather working.īut, I decided to go engineering because of the scopes and other ranged weapon augments that engineers can craft.Īlso, not 100% on this, and I’ll double check before I make my Classic WoW Professions guide, but I think engineers could make hunter ammo, too. This is actually further separated from lore/RP for me than usual. Plus, herbalism is faster on Tauren and druids can stay in travel form when picking flowers. I raid most on my druid and alchemy works great for that. My main has been a Tauren druid for WoD and Legion, and I always liked alchemy (in and outside of WoW), so this was just sort of obvious for me, personally. Here’s a breakdown of why, for each: Druid - Alchemy + Herbalism Rogue - Jewel Crafting + Mining (Goblin). You may want to choose different ones, from below (see: Other Classes), if you already have max level characters. I don’t think I even have a shaman character. Some of these I don’t have leveled to max. The reason why I’m doing these is because they make the most sense to me. This doesn’t have to be what you do, and it’s not even really a recommendation of any sort. Here’s what I put together for my account. That said, my list goes more with lore/RP, or practicality for using it on that character, than anything else. That is no longer the case, and so it no longer matters. Pretty much any class can take on any profession, and it actually doesn’t matter which class has which profession if all I’m doing is trying to make money.Īfter all, I could just farm mats on one character, and send to another (not entirely true, and we’ll get to that below).Īt one point in time, I think it was Cataclysm IIRC, mining gave you extra stamina and skinning gave you extra crit or agility or something. I was wondering, between all of my characters, what’s the best profession for each one? Next step will obviously be how to be good at your job. Your profession in WoW, sometimes referred to as tradeskills, is like your character’s job, so that’s the best place to start when it comes to making money, right? “profession, literally a word about having a job.” I want to fix that, so I’ve been doing some research. I just recently bought the Traveler’s Tundra Mammoth and that’s been out for like 8 years. I can never afford the cool expensive mounts. ![]() I’ve been playing WoW since Vanilla, but I’ve always been broke as a joke.
